1956 –  In Primorska the weather was summer-like more than autumn-like and at some weather stations the record high temperature in October was measured. In Branik in Vipava valley it warmed up to 29.0 °C, in Kortine near Črni Kal 28.4 °C was measured, in Kubed 28.3 °C, in Tolmin and in Komen on Kras 27.6 °C and in Ilirska Bistrica 27.2 °C.
 
1965 –  After September with record high precipitation amount - in some parts of western Slovenia over 1000 mm of precipitation fell - the most sunny and dry October in 20th century began. In some places in the whole month not even a raindrop fell!!
 
1993 –  It was raining heavily during the day in Goriška brda, Lower Soča valley and in Bača valley. The next morning in Vedrijan in 24 hours 243 mm of rain was measured; in Morsko 206 mm of rain fell, in Rut 185 mm, in Plave 184 mm and in Lig 174 mm.
 
2011 –  Extremely, in some places even record-breaking start of October. In Bilje near Nova Gorica almost a hot day was recorded with the maximum temperature of 29.8 °C; in Godnje in Kras it was 29.0 °C, in Metlika 27.5 °C, at Portorož airport 26.8 °C, in Lendava 26.6 °C, in Ljubljana and Maribor 25.9 °C and at Kredarica (2514 m) 12.2 °C.
